In the photographs from WWII many of the soldiers are in American or British uniforms but they are actually Dutch soldiers. As the members of the Underground were officially unrecognized as soldiers they had no uniforms of their own and eventually were outfitted by either the British or Americans. As to the people in civilian clothes, they may or may not have actually been civilians because the Underground was composed of men and woman who fought and risked their lives just as much as any uniformed soldier did.
Please be patient if some of the photographs are a little slow loading. In some cases I gave load speed for clarity in the photos because it is the content of the photographs that are so very important.
I'd also appreciate it, if you haven't already, read my page that talks about the photographs and explains the content of this site (it will open in a separate window for convenience) -
